Feeding Tips: AbSucralfate Granules

AbSucralfate in granule form may be administered with water as it is not enteric coated. 

AbSucralfate can be fed with a handful of chaff or a small feed if your horse is particularly picky.

AbSucralfate is most effective when the horses stomach is at its emptiest (typically in the morning).  

It is very important that AbSucralfate is not administered at the same time as other medication or supplements; ideally it is best to allow for 30 minutes between feeding the granules and offering other feed or treatment.
